reflecting back:)

HELLO:D actually,i did not intend to post but my GP teacher says we have to do reflections(be it online or on paper)so,i decided to do it through blogging:)YAY!
Times have zoom-ed past and it was just moments ago when i was waiting in excitement for the CNY to approach.Now,that CNY is already over,it is back to the mugger mode.(abit not used to it again but i shall try my best!)
Studies in NY are as fast as a bullet train.Still remember orientation made everyone in a ecstatic mood and all of us were all clouds nine.However,all good things had to come to an end.So,putting aside all the play and fun,it is back to serious matters-studying.
1)GEOGRAPHY.My home teacher is my geog teacher and she has that very endearing look that make her feel very approachable.She is in her twenties and she speaks in both chinese and english.Her style of teaching geography is also very precise,straight to the point and very interacting:)We had a debate against the other half of our class for our first geog assignment and we lost(but we had already tried and put in our heart and soul to doing it as i still can remember vividly the night before the debate,some guys from my class and i were discussing about this debate till like around 12 plus going (going to 1)in the wee hours of the morining.!See how serious we are in our work?!But the debate was rather fun and speakers had earned 5 credicts each!Geography notes are also piling up on my desk.Lots of notes , facts all boggling my mind.And the key to solve these problems is just to do self revision after every lecture!and of cos the tutorial:)
2)ECONOMICS-well,we haven really didi much in econs i guess except going through two chapters in the lecture notes and also did two case studies as our homework.It resembles a little as compared to our secondary school days social studies by which we must compare similarities etc.This subject to me is just logical things and the study of human behaevior being made and looked from a very complex side.If we can look at it from different perspective,econs is actually quite logical and easy to understand:)
3)MATHematics-WA!for this,i think my math teacher is the fastest bullet train on earth.Even faster than the maglev train from beijing to pudong international airport!:DHe doesn't skip questions (or maybe he did for some)BUt he is really going very very fast and also he skips some intermediate steps which makes it hard for me to understand.I need to do some calculations and analytical thinking before i could catch the gist of it.I must really increase my speed for math man!JIAYOU!
4)CHEMISTRY-For this subject,i have also not been doing a lot currently,We were just like finishing stoichiometry and doing some tutorials .OHYA and the gender proportion in NY is not proportional!Generally,there are like more girls than guys here in NY and this of cos includes my awesome ct-1035 BUT with the exception of my chemistry tutorial class!The girls were like the minority for once!But at least ,some of my gd friends in my class take same combi as me and also most of my cca friends ended up same tutorial and lecture class:DYAY!
5)CHINESE-Simple story that depicts some kind of hidden meaning within it is all i can say to describe those long wordy passages in my notes for chinese.But our chinese teacher has a very accomodating character also and she is very cheerful teacher who likes to laugh during our lessons!A LEVELS CHINESE ARE APPROACHING AT THE END OF THIS YEAR!my aim-A:D
6)PW-also handtaken by my dearest 1035 home teacher,this subject is also another a level graded subject at the end of this year.I do not know who my groupmates are currently but i sincerely hope they will be a bunch of really fun people who not only play hard BUT work hard and also very easy to get along with:DThis seems to be a rather heavy subjects with a long lists of tasks to do which is never ending!Time management is something i would definitly include in my project work schedule!
7)GP(LAST BUT NOT LEAST)-this subject can also be considered as my english in JC life.Arguementative comprehensions are the only way out of our paper one and i must start reading up on my different topics and also practice more!We were also put into our different grps ans i am in the same group as vivienne,kenny and yue bin:DThey are nice people and very cooperative:)I will be updating my blog once a week as part of my GP REFLECTIONS:) and what i will update on depends on the activities that happen in school!

VALENTINES/LUNAR NEW YR:D

who can ever believe it that these two fun occasions/festivals falls on the same day!How coincident.But anyway,wishing all my friends happy valentines man!:DTHANKS FOR THE EVER-LASTING FRIENDSHIP!& also happy lunar new yr!!:)

Orientation has officially ended like a week ago and lectures started to fill our time ,with us struggling to stay awake and also just to keep up with the pace of the lecturer.& it's ALWAYS man,i would be seen running from classes to classes.Cos,normally the teacher would cont to talk and rattle on and we,students have to listen .By the time they finish what they have in mind,the bell rang like way loong ago and as a result,me and my group of friends are always seen running from one location to the other.It's very funny .I remembered thurs(yesterday),our civics lesson was like on the 5th storey and our lecture hall like on 1st floor la then we wanted to take lift but concluded that it would be even slower .So,we just grab our bags and sped down man.JC's are good at testing one's urgency and running coordinations with ur limbs!HAHA

CO also started and my SL changed my instrument from erhu to gao hu.And as usual la all at xia ba and the yin is like super super zhun:D(how sacarstic am i towards my skills)HAHA.But i really don like xia ba man it's like torture lor .HAHA but CO to me is rather fun because it was interactive and engaging and my seniors are like very funny:DBut i'm worried like for my syf cum studies next year.Hope that i shall be able to cope well and also do well not only accademically but also in terms of cca!& i've been chosen to be in the NYCO orientation 2010 planning comm.I dono how my name ended up there in the first place la and the planning comm consists of (chern yong(oic),me(asist ic),alvin(food,briefing),zhi ming(secretary),jaslyn(money matters).)speaking truthfully,we had a hard time planning man and it was not easy for us to come to a conclusion but i sure hope that the orientation on 17 feb would be a smashing success!O!and shell's gonna join co:)YAY.we can form like this mini zb tudi's colony already!got 5!

I have been posted to class 1035 of which consists like only 9 guys and 15 girls:)*girls domination!HAHA overflooding girls in NY le sia.But i think my class is great cos all of us are rather enthu and is like we spent most of our time together cos we take almost all the same subject combi:)My civics tutor is also rather alright!At first i thought she was like a tigress can!But after the lesson,after i saw the way she speak and intro herself,she rather resemble a teacher i know.MS FANG!she loves geog and photography and travels to many countries!HOW COOL!

Oh and speaking of my class,our class rep orson bought a rose for girls in the class la.super generous lor!HA(thanks!):)and speaking of that also links me to todays NYJC CNY concert.IT was a rather short concert but i think it was alright!cos just as we started or gonna feel bored it ended:Dthen after it ended,the PRSS cum NYJC students(me,shell,darren.wei cong,wei jia) went to PRATA HOUSE TO EAT:D & wei cong ordered this banana prata which is like (drools**)suepr nice!the banana like melts in your mouth and it's warm and not too sweet.I shall order that on my next meal there!!(plan already!cos it's mouth watering and irresistable!)

We also went back to PRSS today to find Mr low,mr wong,ms chia,ms ho,mr lokhman,mrs chua,mrs sum.We met these teachers and spoke to them for quite some time.They all say JC's not gonna be smooth sailing but i WILL persevere and hang on man!!after CNY,i guess i wouldn't even be posting much due to hectic life and studies but i will try to update.After which we also went out to eat together with our clan plus qixun but jenn and june left early for some reasons.Then we also went back to attend a short while of th co games day 2010 organised by the exco 09/10.i din participate in the game scos i was playing with vivien,darren ,tricia and oscar and arthur was kinda sian HAHA BUT it was fun:)

PS THE SECOND PHOTO MUST ENLARGE.it's the miniature!WOW!been ages sinced i posted.NANYANG ORIENTATION 2010 was GREAT MAN!ENDED with a big bang!
After the first day of feeling awkward to the second day playing games under the silosa beach at sentosa to running to the shelter to hide from rain to yesterday's cheering and mass dance to today's FINALE:DWe went in the morning and started off by imersing ourselves in wet games!Then we went for lunch with the girls and recap mass dance:DThen i also learnt traditional dance of NYJC which is keep spinning and turning and waltz!IMAGINE THAT!>:Di think it's hard to dance like 2 people those type .i keep stepping or banging into the guy.cos i think my limbs cannot coordinate sia!OMG HEHE but lucky my partner(andre) for the mass and trad dance nvr keep turning me.My partner for the waltz(cos we just swap partners with the pair behind us)that guy(samual) keep turning me sia.But ,it was the first time i had such a great number of people dancing and also first time i had participated in mass dance and also waltz and trad dance.It was a fun and great experience where everyone got high!!DISCO NIGHT WAS LIKE THE BEST MAN!lights in the hall were off-disco ball-manual laser-smoke cming out of nowhere-music-light sticks-dance(S)!WOW i must say it was an underaged disco but it was super fun la.very high:)i think the OGLs' have great influential power!

This is the end of the orientation in high school:Dgonna start hitting the books soon!Gotta attend cca tml!it's cca bazar day and admin talk plus some kind of lectures tml.Hope i will enjoy tml too!looking forward man:)
